Throughout his 30-year career, songs like Who’s Your Daddy and Made in America endeared him to fans. He is survived by his wife, Tricia Lucus, and three children.

Keith, originally from Oklahoma, worked in oil fields and played semi-professional football before pursuing music.

His debut single Should’ve Been a Cowboy soared to number one in 1993, celebrating the cowboy lifestyle.

Albums like Blue Moon and Pull My Chain further showcased his talent.

Keith’s patriotic-themed songs, including Courtesy of the Red White and Blue (The Angry American), sometimes sparked controversy.

Despite feuds with artists like the Dixie Chicks, Keith believed in focusing on what truly mattered.

He performed for several US presidents, receiving a National Medal of the Arts from Donald Trump in 2021.
